Hannah Dunn

Hannah Dunn, born in a small Wisconsin town, began dancing at age 9 and as early as 11 she was picked to dance on stage with the New York City Ballet in Alice in Wonderland. In college, she had the privilege to tour 4 semesters with Brigham Young University Idaho’s highest performing group, Dance Alliance, to Canada and New York City. She has also been a professional dancer and choreographer for The Dance Collaborative and Aspire dance companies. As a choreographer, she served as Artistic Director over several semesters for BYU-Idaho's Extravadance and Associate Director for the internationally broadcast BYU-Idaho Christmas Show. Her works have received numerous awards one of which was 1st place at the 2013 Research and Creative works conference in Idaho for her dance film “Desolate”. After receiving her Bachelor’s in Dance she has had the opportunity to train with the likes of Jump Rhythm Jazz Project, Repertory Dance Theatre, Bill T Jones/ Arnie Zane Dance Company, Scorpius Dance Company, Ririe-Woodbury, Danielle Agami, Charlotte-Boye Christensen, Kellie St. Pierre (Diavolo) and Daniel Charon. She taught intermediate-advanced level modern classes as an adjunct teacher at Brigham Young University Idaho and has set works throughout Arizona, Wisconsin, and Southern Idaho.  Her hope is to spread the power that dance has to change the world through teaching as well as choreography. She is very excited to be a part of FDT and join the dance community in Lubbock.
