Khushee Hegde

Khushee Hegde (Performer) has been dancing for the past 15 years. She began learning ballet, tap, and jazz, at the age of 4 at her home studio, Baton Rouge Dance Connection. After her family moved to Lubbock in 2014, she found a new studio to call her home, The Dance Gallery. There, under the direction of the wonderful Karla McNeill, she continued learning ballet, tap, and jazz, and also began learning contemporary and hip-hop styles. Before she was able to compete, she attended LA Dance Magic and Tremaine to get a feel for the high energy convention dancing experience. She was on the competition team for her senior year of high school and competed in Jazz, Tap, and Hip Hop at Tremaine. Additionally, since her family is from India, she has grown up learning Bollywood hip-hop fusion outside of the studio as well. She loves The Dance Gallery so much that she now is a teacher there! She is currently a BA Dance Major at Texas Tech University and a Sports Management Minor, with a hope to pursue teaching dance in the future.
