Leah Ogle
Leah Ogle (Performer) is an award winning choreographer, performer, and teacher with two decades of dance experience. She began her dance career at KJ Dance in Plano, under the tutelage of her Aunt Kristy Blakeslee at just 3 years old. Dance convention recognition and company experience earned Leah the Nordan Fine Arts Scholarship to Texas Christian University where she majored in Modern Dance. While a part of the TCU dance program, Leah worked with artists including Joshua Peugh, Charlotte Boye-Christensen, Helenius Wilkins, and Kihyoung Choi. Her college career culminated with an award winning solo performance of Tammy Baston’s work “Thematic Repetition” at the ACDA Conference Gala. After graduation from TCU with honors, Leah spent time with professional companies across Texas, including Out on a Limb Dance Theater, Chaddick Dance Theater, Kathy Dunn Hamrick Dance Company, Sea Legs Dance, The Theorists, Zion Dance Project, imPULSE dance project and currently Flatlands Dance Theatre. Leah has taught and choreographed for a number of studios including Texas Ballet Theatre, KJ Dance, Innovative Dance Inc., Dancers Workshop, and Studio of MoveMINT. She also teaches Classical Pilates and the GYROTONIC Method. Leah specializes in performance and choreography that emphasizes granular detail and intimate expression. She loves performing and takes pride in making Modern accessible and inviting to professionals and casual viewers alike.
